Trails Day Celebration
Hello River Valley Enthusiasts,
We’re excited to invite you to celebrate International Trails Day with the River Valley Alliance in collaboration with the Trans Canada Trail on Saturday, June 1, 2024. This special event is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the beauty and utility of our beloved trails.
What to Expect:
- Information Booths: Discover local organizations that play pivotal roles in enhancing our river valley. Learn about their contributions and see how you might get involved or support their efforts.
- Free BBQ: Join us for a simple, complimentary BBQ from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. It’s a great way to meet fellow trail enthusiasts and enjoy some delicious food in the great outdoors.
- RVA-Led Trail Walk: Starting at 10:00 am, we’ll take a guided walk along a scenic portion of the RVA trail. It’s a perfect chance to experience the trails firsthand and learn more about our ongoing projects and future plans.
Event Details:
- 9:30 am: Doors open to the public
- 10:00 am: Optional Guided Trail Walk (Space is limited to the first 40 participants. Please arrive early to secure your spot, and note that a waiver will need to be signed before participating.)
- 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Free Hot Dog BBQ – Enjoy complimentary hot dogs while supplies last! We aim to provide enough for everyone, but availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
