September Community Walk

Do you want to get out and #TrekTheTrails in a group setting? Join the River Valley Alliance’s Community Engagement Committee as we walk Battery Creek Trail in Devon.

We’ll begin at the trailhead at the end of Range Road 262 and walk along the river until we reach the Rabbit Hill Ravine stairs, enjoying the stunning scenic views along the way. We will then turn around and return along the same path to the parking lot. Please note: There is a washroom at the halfway point near the stairs, but there is not one at the trailhead.

The walk is approximately 3 km, and we will be walking at a leisurely pace with plenty of time to take in nature and snap some photos. This trail is gravel and mostly flat. All abilities are welcome. The estimated time to complete is around 1-1.5 hours.

Dogs are welcome on this walk but must remain on leash.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to check in and get situated. As a group, we will all be leaving promptly at 10 am. To help us keep to schedule, please arrive by 9:45 am.

Parking is available at the small parking lot at the trailhead, located at the termination of Range Road 262. This will also be the meeting place. If you are attending in a group, please consider carpooling to free up available parking for others.

Please remember to dress for the weather. Should inclement weather arise, the walk will be cancelled, and you will be notified.
