What to bring:
- This event is BYOB (bring your bike or e-bike). Please make sure your bike is in good working order. One of our members will be available to help with any bike issues, and we will have a first-aid kit.
- Wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Parking: Parking is available at the parking lots located at Government House Park.
Route: It begins at Government House Park and travels along the River Valley bike trail under the High-Level Bridge, explores the new Walterdale Bridge, goes past the Funicular lift, explores the Tawatina cycling/walking path under the LRT bridge and continues downstream to Dawson Park where we turn around and go back by the same route. It is about 18 km in length and mostly flat.
Difficulty: Easy—Medium—This will be a leisurely ride, covering around 18 km round trip. We’ll take our time, with frequent stops to admire the scenery and capture some memorable photos of the beautiful river views. The route is mostly flat, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride for all.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to check in and get situated. As a group, we will all be leaving promptly at 9:30 a.m. To help us keep to schedule, please arrive by 9:15 a.m.
- Each participant must have a helmet and a bell to participate in this ride.
Please remember to dress for the weather. If inclement weather happens, we will let you know of a cancellation.
