2025 RVA Call For Calendar Submissions

We are excited to announce the 2025 RVA Call For Calendar Submissions! We are seeking 13 stunning images to feature in our upcoming calendar—one for each month and a special one for the cover.

To represent the diversity and beauty of our region, we need images from each of our six municipalities: Devon, Parkland County, Edmonton, Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan, and Sturgeon County. We’re looking for a variety of seasonal shots, so whether it’s a frosty winter morning or a vibrant summer sunset, we want to see your best work!

Submission Guidelines:

  • High-Resolution: All images must be high resolution and suitable for print quality. 📸 Photo Submission Tips: If your photos have been taken on a phone, please avoid cropping or enhancing them, as this can degrade the photo quality. Photos taken on a phone with low quality won’t be considered due to the low print quality. We want your beautiful images to look their best in the calendar!
  • Landscape Orientation: Please ensure your photos are taken in landscape orientation.
  • Ownership: You must own the rights to your submission.
  • Content: Images should focus on landscapes or include only unidentifiable people in the background, such as someone in silhouette biking on a trail.
  • Multiple Submissions: You can submit multiple photos, but please note that only one photo per photographer will be chosen.

Submission Details:

  • Deadline: September 30, 2024
  • Information to Include:
    • Your Name
    • Email Address
    • The Municipality where the photo was taken
    • Approximate Location of the photo
  • Submission: Please send your photo(s) via email to makennah.walker@rivervalley.ab.ca

Photographer Benefits:

Photographers will receive full credit for their images in the calendar and will retain all rights to their work. We value your creativity and are committed to acknowledging your contributions.

All chosen photographers will receive a copy of the calendar and one of our new RVA toques and water bottles featuring the trail’s new name.

Help us showcase the stunning landscapes across our region! We can’t wait to see your submissions.
