Join the River Valley Alliance for a fall walk along the Battery Creek Trail, just outside of Devon.

Enjoy a morning exploring the Battery Creek Trail and the North Saskatchewan River Valley. This approximately 4.5 km walk follows a primarily flat route, making it suitable for a range of walking abilities.

At the end of the trail, participants will have the optional opportunity to take the stairs to the top of the bank and see where this section of trail will eventually connect with Edmonton as the River Valley Alliance trail system continues to develop.

Parking & Meeting Location

Participants will meet at the Battery Creek Trailhead, where parking is available.

To reach the trailhead, turn north from Highway 19 onto Range Road 262 (Cemetery Road) and follow the road to the parking lot at the end.

Please arrive a few minutes early so the group is ready to begin walking at 10:00 AM.

What to Bring

Please come prepared for fall weather and trail conditions. We recommend:

Comfortable walking or hiking shoes
Weather-appropriate clothing and layers
Water
Any personal snacks you may need

The event is somewhat weather-dependent, and registered participants will be notified if conditions require any changes.
