Embrace winter in the river valley and join the River Valley Alliance for a guided cross-country skiing adventure in Edmonton’s beautiful Northeast River Valley Park. This event is designed for all skill levels, whether you’re clicking into skis for the very first time or looking to explore new trails with experienced guides.

🎿 New to cross-country skiing?
Our beginner-friendly group will focus on the basics, including balance, technique, and confidence on the trails—perfect for those just getting started.

🎿 Experienced skier?
Join our more adventurous group for a scenic ski through the park’s winter trails, taking in snowy views of the river valley while enjoying a steady pace.

Important Details:
• Participants must bring their own skis or arrange rentals in advance from local shops such as Sundance Ski & Board Shop, Out of Bounds, or Totem Outdoor Outfitters

• 🚫 No ski rentals are available on-site

• 🚶‍♀️ Walking on groomed ski trails is not permitted—this event is for skiers only

• Dress for the weather and be prepared for winter conditions

  • Please arrive early to give yourself enough time to be ready to start at 1:00pm
