RVA Annual Fall Colours Tour

Join the River Valley Alliance for our Annual Fall Colours Tour and experience the North Saskatchewan River Valley as the leaves change for fall!

Beginning at Terwillegar Park in southwest Edmonton, the ride will follow a portion of the Beaver Hill Road Trail—officially known as Amisk Wacîw Mêskanaw—a scenic, multi-use trail through the North Saskatchewan River Valley.

Participants will ride from Terwillegar Park to Hawrelak Park and back, for a total distance of approximately 20 km.

This ride is suitable for cyclists comfortable riding moderate distances on a combination of paved and gravel multi-use trails. The terrain is primarily flat to gently sloping, and we expect the ride to take approximately 2.5 hours, including short stops along the way.

Important Information

• Participants must bring their own bicycle.
• Bikes must be in good working order, with properly inflated tires, functioning brakes, and working gears.
• A cycling helmet and working bell are required to participate.
• E-bikes are welcome. Please ensure your battery is fully charged before the ride.
• Please bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, and any food or snacks you may want during the ride.
• Washrooms and water are available at the halfway point at Hawrelak Park.
• Please be mindful that many other users may be on the trails during the ride.
• The ride will proceed unless significant rain or unsafe weather conditions occur. Registered participants will be notified of any changes or cancellations.

Parking & Meeting Location

Participants will meet on the east side of the Terwillegar Park parking lot at 9:30 AM for a review of the route and important safety instructions before departing. The ride will return to the same location.

Look for RVA volunteers wearing orange safety vests.

Registration through the River Valley Alliance is required, and space is limited.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration using the cancellation link included in your original sign-up confirmation email. This will allow us to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
