🌿 Final Moccasin & Medicine Trail Walk of 2025 🌿

Theme: Playing on the Land – Traditional Land Games
📅 Date: Sunday, October 19, 2025
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Kinsmen Park, meet North of the main parking lot. As seen in the highlighted circle in the photo below.

Join us for the closing event of the Moccasin and Medicine Trail Walk Series, led by the River Valley Alliance’s Truth and Reconciliation Committee.

This special gathering invites participants of all ages—children, adults, and Elders—to come together through Traditional Indigenous Land Games. Under the theme Playing on the Land, we’ll engage in fun, meaningful games that reflect Indigenous ways of knowing, teaching, and connecting across generations.

This final event of 2025 is about more than play—it’s a celebration of the connections we’ve built this year, an opportunity to honour Indigenous knowledge, and a moment to reflect on the relationships we’ve strengthened with each other and the land.

👟 What to Bring

  • Comfortable clothes for outdoor movement

  • Water bottle

  • Curiosity and a willingness to play and learn together

We welcome everyone with open hearts—whether you’re new to this experience or returning to continue your journey with us.

🌱 This is a family-friendly and inclusive event grounded in respect, learning, and joy.

👉 Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin together.

❗ If you can no longer attend, please cancel your spot as soon as possible. This allows us to open space for others to join—our walks often fill quickly, and your cancellation helps make room for more community participation.
