Join the River Valley Alliance for a guided cycling tour exploring Fort Saskatchewan’s river valley trails and the eastern reaches of the Amisk Wacîw Mêskanaw (Beaver Hill Road Trail). This 22-kilometre ride follows beautiful riverside pathways, offering stunning views of the North Saskatchewan River while highlighting the area’s natural and cultural history.
Beginning at West Rivers Edge, riders will travel along the trail network toward the Fort Saskatchewan–Lamoureux River Valley Alliance underslung bridge, one of the key connections along the trail. Along the route, guides will make several interpretive stops to share stories about the region’s history, local landmarks, river valley ecology, and the importance of the trail in connecting communities across the region.
This ride is suitable for cyclists comfortable riding moderate distances on paved and multi-use trails. The pace will be relaxed, allowing plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery, ask questions, and learn more about the places that shape this unique section of the river valley.

🔹 Participants must bring their own bicycle.
🔹 Bikes must be in good working order, with properly inflated tires, functioning brakes, and working gears.
🔹 A cycling helmet is required to participate.
🔹 Please bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, and any snacks you may need during the ride.
🔹 Washrooms are available at West Rivers Edge.
🔹 The ride will proceed unless significant rain or unsafe weather conditions occur.
Parking & Meeting Location
Participants will meet in the parking lot across from the West Rivers Edge Pavilion. Ample parking is available on site.
Registration is required, and space is limited. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration through your original confirmation email so your spot can be offered to someone on the waitlist.
