July Meditation Walk
Meditation Walk
Saturday, July 25, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Prospectors Point, Parkland County
Step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself and the natural world through a guided Meditation in Nature Walk in Parkland County’s beautiful river valley.
Led by Allan Bly of Forest Lens, this unique experience blends guided meditation with elements of forest bathing, creating a restorative opportunity to slow down, engage your senses, and cultivate mindfulness in a natural setting. Rather than focusing on distance or physical exertion, this gentle walk invites participants to be present, breathe deeply, and experience the river valley with intention.
Beginning at the trailhead parking area, participants will walk at a relaxed pace along Prospectors Point Trail overlooking the North Saskatchewan River Valley. Along the route, Allan will lead a series of guided meditation sessions at scenic stopping points, including a picnic area and a riverside viewpoint. Drawing on both meditation practices and the principles of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), participants will be encouraged to observe, reflect, and connect more deeply with the landscape around them.
Research has shown that spending intentional time in nature can help reduce stress, improve mood, increase focus, and support overall well-being. This experience offers a welcoming space to unplug from daily distractions and discover the benefits of mindfulness in nature.
Whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice, this guided walk provides an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and experience the river valley from a new perspective.
