June Forest Bathing Walk
Forest Bathing Walk
Saturday, June 20, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park, Edmonton
Step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature through a guided Forest Bathing Walk in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley.
Led by Allan Bly of Forest Lens, this immersive experience invites participants to slow down, engage their senses, and develop a deeper connection with the natural world. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), this is not a hike focused on distance or fitness, but rather a mindful journey designed to help participants experience the sights, sounds, scents, and textures of the forest in a meaningful way.
As we move through the landscapes of Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park along the North Saskatchewan River Valley, participants will be guided through a series of invitations and activities that encourage presence, reflection, and appreciation for the natural environment. Research has shown that spending intentional time in nature can help reduce stress, improve mood, and foster overall well-being.
Whether you are new to forest bathing or have participated before, this experience offers an opportunity to slow down, unplug, and experience the river valley from a new perspective.
