Join the River Valley Alliance’s Community Engagement Committee for a Bike Tour
We invite you to join the River Valley Alliance’s Community Engagement Committee for a scenic bike tour through Northeast Edmonton’s stunning river valley.
What to Bring:
- BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike or E-Bike): Ensure your bike is in good working order. One of our members will be available to assist with any bike issues, and we will have a first-aid kit on hand.
- Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Dress according to the weather conditions, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Parking:

Route:
This 23 km guided bike tour follows paved RVA trails with stunning views of the river valley. Starting in the new Northeast River Valley Park, we’ll head north toward the new Strathcona/Edmonton footbridge, then loop back past our starting point and ride to the underslung bridge beneath the Anthony Henday. The tour continues to the north end of Hermitage Park, where we’ll turn around and return.
The route includes three hills as we move in and out of the river valley—these can be walked if needed. We’ll ride at a relaxed pace with plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the scenery.
Difficulty: Easy—Medium
This event suits average riders, with a leisurely pace and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. While there are two short hills on the route, they can be walked if necessary, ensuring a comfortable experience for all participants.
Schedule:
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to check in and get situated. The group will depart promptly at 9:00 a.m. To help us stay on schedule, we ask that you arrive by 8:45 a.m.
Requirements:
Each participant must have a helmet and a bell to participate in this ride.
