Our river valley trails provide us with endless adventure, fresh air, and a connection to nature—but they need our help to stay clean and beautiful! Join us for the RVA Spring Trail Cleanup and make a difference in the places we love. 💚🌎

📅 Date: Saturday, May 3, 2024
📍 Location: Emily Murphy Park – Meet at Picnic Site 1
🕘 Cleanup Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Drop in anytime to grab a cleanup kit!)
🍔 Volunteer Appreciation BBQ: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Over the winter, litter and debris build up along the trails, affecting the environment and the experience for everyone who enjoys them. By lending a hand, you’re helping keep these spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for hikers, bikers, runners, and nature lovers alike.

Tickets help us plan how many clean-up kits we need. One ticket per volunteer. For example, a volunteer group of four would register four tickets.

What to bring with you:

– Water bottle

– Wear solid sole shoes

– Garbage grabber or picker if you have one

– Dress for the weather (light jacket, hat, sunscreen, bug spray)

– Thicker Gloves for picking up garbage if you want them

Kits include:

– Pair of disposable gloves

– Garbage bags, recycling bag
