Spring Bird Walk
🌿 RVA Spring Bird Walk
Sunday, May 24 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Alfred H. Savage Centre
Spring is one of the most exciting times in the river valley — especially for bird lovers.
The North Saskatchewan River Valley is home to dozens of bird species that live here year-round or migrate through each season. The mouth of Whitemud Creek is one of the premier locations in Edmonton for spotting and identifying a wide variety of them.
Join the River Valley Alliance for a guided 3-hour bird walk led by the knowledgeable team from Wildbird General Store. Whether you’re an experienced birder or just curious about who’s singing in the trees, this walk is designed to be informative, relaxing, and simply a lot of fun.
You’ll learn how to identify birds by sight and sound, discover why this area is such an important habitat, and gain a deeper appreciation for the incredible biodiversity within our river valley.
