“ᐄᓃᐤ (ÎNÎW) is a Cree word meaning “I am of the Earth”. The art park is situated on ancestral lands of the Indigenous peoples whose descendants entered into Treaty with the British Crown resulting in the territory opening for settlement. River Lot 11 acknowledges the historic river lot originally home to Métis landowner Joseph McDonald. The park is located within Queen Elizabeth Park in Edmonton’s North Saskatchewan River Valley.” – City of Edmonton Website
The walk from the Kinsmen to the Indigenous Art Park offers great views of the river valley.

PARKING
To walk from the Kinsmen to the art park, parking is in the large parking lot at the Kinsmen Sport Centre.
ROUTE
1. From the parking lot, head East towards Walterdale Hill. At the intersection cross the street.
2. After crossing the street go south up the paved hill until you reach a fork in the path. At the fork take the left path that curves up the hill. Follow this path until you get to the art park.
3. Follow the outer loop around the park. This short loop takes you past multiple art installations throughout the park.
5. Return to the Kinsmen Rec Centre the same way you came.
