Support the Completion of the Final 25 km of the River Valley Alliance Trail.

We, the undersigned, are excited to support the completion of the final 25 km of the River Valley Alliance (RVA) trail (named the Amisk Wacîw Mêskanaw or Beaver Hill Road Trail). This remaining crucial section will connect the Devon, Parkland County, Edmonton, Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan, and Sturgeon County communities and enhance our quality of life. It will create a continuous 100 km pedestrian trail along the beautiful North Saskatchewan River, providing a safe and scenic route for residents to enjoy.

The last stretch of the trail lies within the City of Edmonton, and we believe the time to complete this trail is now, not in the distant future. Residents are eagerly anticipating the completion of this transformative regional trail. When finished, the trail will offer more than just a recreational path—it will create opportunities for active transportation, allowing people to travel from Devon to Fort Saskatchewan or anywhere in between by foot, bicycle or e-bike without ever needing to get in a car. Imagine the freedom of commuting and exploring our region in a healthy, eco-friendly way!

We urge our decision-makers to prioritize this project and confirm the necessary funding to finish the job. This is about more than just building a trail; it’s about leaving a lasting legacy that connects people to nature, each other, and the incredible landscapes surrounding us. The community is entirely supportive of this project and believes it will significantly enhance our quality of life.
